For Tiffany and David, the Domaine d’Essendiéras provided the perfect backdrop for their romantic dream wedding. The celebration of this English couple was the kind of event that pairs destination charm with genuine emotion. As their French wedding photographer, I had the privilege of capturing each chapter of their day.
Located in the Dordogne countryside, Domaine d’Essendiéras offers the perfect combination between privacy, elegance, and versatility. With two Châteaux, a panoramic terrace, romantic gardens, and luminous reception spaces… All this makes this French Chateau particularly appealing for international couples.

Getting Ready at Château Réal
In the historic rooms of the old château at Domaine d’Essendiéras, Tiffany spent a joyful morning getting ready. Surrounded by her mother and her bridesmaids, she embraced the excitement of the day with music playing in the background, spontaneous dancing and plenty of laughter with her besties. Glasses of Champagne clinked together in celebration as Tiffany shared thoughtful gifts she had prepared for the women in her life. The girls got glammed by the amazing Allison Flory, a local makeup artist who regularly works at Domaine d’Essendiéras. It was a tender and intimate chapter of the wedding day, filled with elegance, warmth and joy.
After putting on her dress with her mom, Tiffany shared a first look with her father. He climbed the Château staircase to find his daughter waiting for him, elegant and radiant in her princess gown. It was a quiet and yet very emotional moment where they could exchange a few words and gifts before heading together to the ceremony.
Getting Ready at Château Réal
Meanwhile, in the new Château at Domaine d’Essendiéras, David got ready with a similarly calm energy with his best mates. The groom and his groomsmen dressed in impeccable black-tie, a timeless attire for an elegant château wedding. They shared jokes and beers in an effortless sense of camaraderie. Keeping both preparations on-site allows the day to flow smoothly and makes storytelling far more cohesive, especially for destination weddings.
AN INTIMATE CEREMONY Under the trees
Their symbolic ceremony took place in the gardens of Domaine d’Essendiéras. Styled by Philippe Bonvoisin, the white and light pink florals were arranged in Médicis vases. A white aisle runner both elevated the elegance of the scene and protected Tiffany’s gown from the pine needles underfoot.
The amazing Ensemble Obbligato, a string quartet, performed throughout the ceremony, bringing depth to this emotional moment. Live classical music suits a French château wedding beautifully. It enhances the experience. Guests can settle into the moment, surrounded by nature, Art, and emotion.
The English-speaking celebrant from Celebrants in France spoke a few words to tell the couple’s story before Tiffany & David shared their vows with laughter and emotion. That day at Domaine d’Essendiéras, the air was definitely filled with warm sun, love, and gratitude.
FLUTTER DARLINGS
As the ceremony drew to a close in the intimate gardens of Domaine d’Essendieras, Tiffany and David took a moment to enjoy the estate’s magnificent panoramic views. Guests then made their way to the terrace of the New Château. They gathered to warmly congratulate the newlyweds, and to shower them with a joyful Flutter Darling confetti throw! That set the tone for a chic and celebratory cocktail hour.
RECEPTION UNDER THE ESSENDIERAS PAGODAS
Dinner took place under the Essendieras‘ pagodas. A luminous and intimate space for refined summer receptions. The floral arrangements from the ceremony were repurposed for the tables. We love this sustainable and aesthetic tip. White and pink florals, soft lighting, and understated table décor shaped an atmosphere that felt luxurious yet welcoming. Guests didn’t simply dine; they shared an exerience, created memories, and celebrated the couple with authenticity and style.
A MEMORABLE ENTRANCE
Tiffany and David swept into the reception accompanied by their bridesmaids and groomsmen, making a show-stopping entrance to Forever by Chris Brown. Their energetic choreography ignited the atmosphere instantly! A true core memory that will forever remain etched in their minds, and in those of their guests.
DINNER SPEECHES AND HEARTFELT MOMENTS
During dinner, speeches were given by the groom, father of the bride, and the best man. We love these moments filled with heartfelt humour and genuine affection for the newlyweds.
AN EVENING FULL OF SURPRISES AT ESSENDIÉRAS
After the meal, the evening continued with dancing, music, and celebration. Tiffany and David embraced the festive spirit wholeheartedly with a surprise for their guests: the cocktail waiters were actually Singing Waiters! Weddings are not only ceremonies mad of speeches honouring the newlyweds, but occasions to celebrate life itself!
